Roundtable Discussion and Screening of SOS Malta's MEDIP Documentary

As part of the MEDIP project, SOS Malta held a Roundtable Discussion at the cinema of St James Cavalier, Valletta, to commemorate World Aids Day.  Here SOS Malta's MEDIP documentary, focusing on the Millennium Development Goals, was screened.  The documentary was produced by PBS for SOS Malta and was filmed during a recent fieldtrip to Uganda.

 

Following this, a roundtable discussion took place focusing on the topic of global poverty and overseas development and the role the media plays in raising greater awareness. Key speakers at the event were Dr Carmen Sammut (lecturer at the International Relations Department of the University of Malta with expertise in International Communications), Ms Demelsa Grech (University student of International Relations), Mr Damian Iriele (University student of Criminology) and Ms Claudia Taylor-East and Ms Monique Falzon (SOS Malta ).
