An activity entitled ‘Same Difference’ was recently held at the University’s Junior College by SOS Malta during which staff and students had the opportunity to interact with migrants who have refugee, humanitarian or subsidiary status and sample ethnic food prepared by the migrants themselves.
The migrants form a team of cultural ambassadors that is holding similar events around Malta that use food as a medium to facilitate interaction with local communities.
The project is part-financed by the EU and forms part of the general programme Solidarity and Management of Migration Flows.
